Oroth Ingaril

Originally planted in a group of four potential heirs to the throne of Felic'Gino, Oroth's garden bed had been sabotaged by those that opposed the current king and queen: outsiders. Struggling as one of the last of the four planted seeds, Oroth had been put under constant care and supervision by both her mother and father, as well as the castle's most trusted hired hands. Eventually, the supervision and care resulted in a healthy, albeit slightly damaged Oroth budding and being born into the world of Ryne.

After being plucked from her pod, the queen had hawked over Oroth, and had been very protective over her only child. In Oroth's years growing up, she had come to resent this kind of supervision and lack of freedom that her parents had given her. It had been made worse as her parents had hired the Faerie twins of the Virin, Calisto and Stella. Though Stella had been out of the picture more times than not, Calisto had been tasked mostly with keeping an eye on Oroth and seeing to her well being.

Admittedly, Oroth had come to quickly disliking Calisto as soon as her parents had explained his duties in regard to her briefly. While Calisto had attempted to become friends with her and treated her with both respect and kindness, Oroth usually bit back with harsh words and a barbed personality. The only time that Oroth did not seem to bark back at Calisto was when he was assisting her with studies and making sure that she knew some of the basic history and necessities of the people of Arcis before she were to eventually become queen herself.

In due time, Oroth and Calisto's relationship had actually become friendly... mostly because after she had become juvenile age, she had realised that her parents were out of the picture more times than not. This was because they had been attempting to secure alliances with many different nations outside their kingdom... and after the story that Oroth had been told by one of the handmaidens, she knew why; Oroth had come to the conclusion that her parents were expecting her to get married soon, and so they wanted to know who their allies were and who they were not so that when their daughter was to get married and have children of her own, she would not suffer the same chain of events.

Oroth had confided her displeasure and annoyance to Calisto as she had been left to the castle once more. While sympathetic to her woes, Calisto could not really offer the wisdom necessary to really assist with her troubles. Though this had only made Oroth's annoyance grow, she understood where Calisto had come from and attempted to deal with it on her own time; reading, drawing, and then eventually dressing herself up and venturing out to visit the main town square of Felic'Gino to speak with the locals whilst mostly under cover.

When her parents came back home, it was the first time they had arrived with outsiders to Arcis, which had thrown her for a loop. When Oroth demanded explanation, she had soon been told that the visiting royals from Eve were wanting to meet with the only surviving Ingaril child as well as see the status of Arcis in general. Oroth had not been pleased with this explanation, though she accepted it, absconding to her room and remaining there till she had been asked to come to meals and important meetings.

In the month that the Human royals from Eve stayed there, Oroth had gotten to know only somewhat about the prince and princess that had been there as well. In all truth, Oroth found them quite droll, and wished nothing to do with them in terms of friendship. However, it had soon been found out that the king and queen of the Eve kingdom of Oracle had a marriage proposition for Oroth's parents. This was something that immediately caused Oroth to become as barbed as ever -- sometimes quite literally, as thorns would sprout from her skin in her agitation with the visiting royals.

Once it had been clear that Oroth had not been interested in any kind of marriage with the prince from Oracle, they had left. Fortunately enough, it seemed that they respected Oroth's wishes this time, and had come to peaceful resolution with Oroth's family. Unfortunately, however, that was not how it was to be with all royals that would visit.

It had not been till Prince Laucio of the Iliean kingdom, Meval'Zirn, and his family's persistence had driven Oroth to fleeing the castle upon one of the kirin steeds. As she had gone through forests and over creek beds, Oroth had eventually come to a mysterious woman by the name of Azi. The distraction had been enough for Laucio and his men to catch up and try to convince Oroth to come back home. However, due to the fact that she had been desperate to get away, and Azi had offered assistance if she were to take her hand, Oroth had not spent long on her decision as she reached for Azi's proffered hand.

Azi had been an inter-dimensional dragon that had used her natural magicks to disguise herself as a mortal being to blend in. The place that she had brought Oroth had been an interesting place -- hills and fields that were difficult to really explain, other than it seemed liked the world had a mind of its own. Azi had brought Oroth to what looked like a broken down castle and said she had been welcome to stay there as long as she needed. This was something that Oroth had graciously accepted.

In the time that she stayed, however, Oroth had been quite content with cleaning up her living space, and making sure that the broken down castle had been picked up enough to promote better manoeuvrability. Though, by the time a week passed, Laucio had eventually found himself into the dimensional tear, though not in the same mindset that he had been in when Oroth had left him. When confronted, Laucio had told Oroth that two years had passed and that his lands and the Fey had been at war due to the fact that people think that he and his men killed Oroth in the chase those two years ago.

Of course, Oroth seemed to be in a state of temporary denial, telling Laucio that only a week had passed. Azi had reminded Oroth that time passed differently where they were, and it could fluctuate between speeding up and slowing down. This information seemed to distress and depress Oroth -- much to the point that her emotional balance had been thrown off, and her form had started to shift rapidly between her mortal and Fey form. Eventually, it had worn her out to the point of dormancy. Before it had happened, however, Oroth had discussed possibilities of time travel, though had concluded that talking with a deity, or god-like being would prove useless, as Oroth was under the idea that there was no way a god would expend effort to remedy this shift in time lines.

When Oroth had woken from her dormancy, the week that she had spent with Azi had disappeared, as well as the memories of Laucio and his family arriving in Arcis to meet with the Ingaril family. Though it had hurt to move, Oroth had seen the elven man that had been with her, and had been rather cautious, as she did not recognise him... nor her surroundings. However, the man had explained to her some of the situation, masking it in a lie that was to protect her. Instead of telling her of Azi and the state of Felic'Gino, Laucio had told her that he worked for her family and was tasked with seeing to her health... that her most recent temper tantrum had been because of her lack of freedoms.

While Laucio had assisted with healing Oroth and not really restricting her in any fashion, Oroth's suspicions and guarded nature seemed to dissipate as she was able to travel out and actually feel the grass under her feet, and feel the cool, refreshing water run over her skin as she approached the river. The lack of rules and restrictions had been new to Oroth as she spent time out there with Laucio... and in that time, it seemed that Oroth had been rather pleased with spending her time with Laucio.

Once Oroth had been at sustainable health, she declared that she did not want to go back home. She told Laucio that since they had apparently already been outside of Arcis, they might as well just travel and see as much as they could together.
